Children in main school will additionally need to be provided with a pair of navy lightweight P.E. shorts in a named P.E. bag. If parents do not want their child to wear their polo shirt for P.E., they will also need to provide a T-shirt - preferably red. For outdoor P.E. children will need a pair of plimsolls or trainers. All clothing worn to school should be named.
Crawlers, our approved uniform supplier, will embroider your child's name onto garments Purchased from them for a small additional charge.
A change in the Health and Safety guidance issued to schools means staff are now no longer advised to tape over earrings for the P.E. lesson. Children wearing earrings to school must be able to remove them themselves for their P.E. lessons. Staff cannot take responsibility for jewellery and so we therefore recommend jewellery is kept for wearing at home.
If ears have been recently pierced and are not yet healed so that the earrings cannot be removed, the child will sit and observe the activities for the 40 minute P.E. lesson, participating only in the theory part.
We do not encourage pupils to bring in personal belongings from home, as the school cannot accept liability for items being lost or broken.
