NEW TOPIC ALERT: OFF WITH HER HEAD!
A new half term, which means a new topic- Off With Her Head! Have a little think and then jot down some responses/ discuss these questions: What do you already know? What would you like to know?
L.I. To independently place historical events on a timeline.
The topic is all about The Tudors this half term so here is a muddled up timeline we’d like you to put back in order. You can either print out the page and place them in the right order or write it down on a piece of paper.
L.I. To understand key historical events.
Have a little look at these photos of catholic churches.
What do you see?
What is it made of?
How has it been designed?
What words would they use to describe the building and contents?
Do you know or have you seen any catholic churches in the local area? What have you noticed about them?
At the beginning of the Tudor era, the Tudors strictly followed Catholicism (a type of Christian). Catholics were ruled by Papacy and The Pope in Rome (Italy). Therefore a significant amount of time and money went into these buildings. We would like you to design your own Catholic church. Consider the detail, material used. Take your time and make sure you label your design.

L.I. To research the Tibetan Prayer Flags.
This half-term, the religion we are looking at is Buddhism. What can you remember about what you have learnt about this religion before?
Use what resources you have at home (there is a powerpoint below you could use) and research Tibetan Prayer Flags. Create a poster with the information you have found.
