This week we will be exploring contrasting locations. Think about where we live in Southend and what sort of plants and trees we have and the weather we experience. Then research the Brazilian rainforest. Use google, books, videos and pictures to gather information about different types of plants, flowers and trees. What do they look like? How different or similar are they to what we have here? how does the climate affect how they grow? Locate the rainforests on a map, particularly in relation to the Equator.
Use different shades of green tissue paper, paper, coloured paper etc to make a giant rainforest leaf to hang in your window.
Design and make some bunting to decorate your own garden or across a window in your house. Focus your design on wildlife birds, butterflies, bugs or flowers.
Take photos of your finished bunting and add to Class Dojo for us to see.
