School Closure - Topic
This half-term we are looking at food, glorious food! In topic we are going to be looking and completing a range of drawings and sculptures, maybe doing a bit of cooking, understanding nutrition in science and looking at where food comes from, fairtrade and food within music.
PARENTS - It is a perfect opportunity to taste new foods and have a go at following recipes. Why not bake healthy muffins or prepare a slow cooker stew together? You could also sample adventurous foods from around the world. Alternatively, you could read the packaging of foods in your fridge to find out where they have come from.
Year 3 Team!
Our topic for this half term is Urban Pioneers. Within this topic we will be carrying out a local area study, this will include locating Southend on a map and discovering its physical and human geography. We will be learning about buildings, journeys and even art in Southend. Alongside this, we will also be focusing on 'Light' as a Science focus. We will post topic activities every few days for you to complete. Once you have completed the suggested activities, please send a photo on class dojo as we would love to see all your learning.

Protect The Rainforests - W.B. 30.03.20
- Write a persuasive letter to governments to protect the rainforest.
- Make a poster about saving the animals.
- Explain why the rainforest is so important and what it could mean if we lose the rainforests for us and the animals.
As we come to the end of our 'Tribal Tales' topic, we would like you to create a presentation about what you have learnt. Your presentation could be in the form of a written non-chronological report, a poster, a drama etc.

The Children were going to be learning about the Iron Age next week so I have linked a website which they will be able to explore and then they can design their own Iron Age village.
