Maths

In Maths this week pupils would be learning about Capacity & Volume.

Key vocab for the week: millilitres, ml, accurately, volume, full, half full, quarter full, empty

To begin the week we would have introduced pupils to Capacity & Volume by finding out what they already know and then using the following video to support understanding: https://www.bbc.co.uk/teach/supermovers/ks1-maths-capacity-volume/zj8njhv https://www.bbc.co.uk/teach/supermovers/ks1-maths-capacity-volume/zj8njhv

We would have spent Monday & Tuesday exploring Volume & Capacity practically using measuring jugs to fill with water and then recording measurements by reading a scale accurately. We would love to see pupils exploring Volume & Capacity at home in the kitchen and would really enjoy seeing photos of your practical Maths this week via Class Dojo!

In addition to this please find the attached videos and worksheets below to support pupils with their Maths Home Learning this week. We look forward to seeing your wonderful work completed via Class Dojo :)
