Maths consists of 5 lessons and 1 arithmetic lesson.
The 5 lessons this week are all about cubed numbers, multiplying and dividing by 10,100 and 100 and multiplying using multiples of 10, 100 and 1000. There is a PowerPoint which will guide you through the learning and then a worksheet to complete. We will also be completing an end of unit assessment at the end of the week.
In arithmetic, we will be completing another half test after re-capping some of the key skills we learnt last half term. These include:
- squaring and cubing numbers
- adding decimals
- using times table facts for large multiplications e.g. 3 x 400
- adding / subtracting up to 6 digit numbers
- multiplying and dividing by 10,100 & 1000
- multiplying by 1 digit
Our new skill we will introduce is using the bus stop method for short division.
