Recap over yesterday’s learning.

 

Explain the present perfect tense refers to an action or state that either occurred at an indefinite time in the past (e.g., we have talked before) or began in the past and continued to the present time (e.g., he has grown impatient over the last hour). This tense is formed by have/has + the past participle.

Look at using tenses poster and discuss points.

Wednesday

Explore weekly spellings. Children to practise look, cover, write check sheets.

Play hangman and other spelling games using weekly spellings (found under Friday).

 

Thursday

Children to write a short story including a variety of sentences focused on different tenses. 

 

Friday

Complete the spelling test. 

Ensure to say the words in sentences to provide context.
