This week we are focusing on using the correct punctuation to punctuate speech within text.

Work through the powerpoint and bullet point the rules for punctuating speech.

Using the VE day information from your English work this week, write 3 speech sentences to use in your English work ensuring they are punctuated following the rules.

Look at your spellings for the week. Each word contains a silent letter.

Categorise the words into groups where the letter that is silent is the same.

e.g. gnat, gnome and foreign all have a silent g so you could group them together.

Use this sheet to practice your spellings daily.

Rewrite the sentences correctly spelling the words that have been spelt incorrectly without their silent letters.
Complete the mini test for GPS.
