What do you notice about them? How are they similar and yet also different from one another?
Alps/ Pyrenees - Western Europe
Andes – South America
Himalayas – Asia
Rockies - North America
Urals – Eastern Europe
Choose your favourite one and do some further investigating. You can use alternative maps and atlases to do this, or use street view on Google Maps.
Use an 8 compass point to describe where things are.
From to peak of Mount Everest, you can see a _______ in the south-western direction.
To the north west of ______ you can find a ______ . Etc.
If you have a ruler it could help you to follow straight direction lines.
