Arctic Adventure Diary Entry.

This week you will be writing a diary entry of the famous explorer Robert Falcon Scott.

The resources you will need for the week are below.

Monday

Today you will be researching the famous explorer Robert Falcon Scott.

Use the table provided to answer the questions about him in order to understand his significance to our topic. 

Tuesday

Today you are going to create a story board for your diary entry using the example diary entry provided above.

Imagine there is a section missing from Scott’s diary, torn out and lost in the snow. If it were written in the last week of his doomed 1911–1912 expedition, what might it say? What sequence of events might have led to the expedition’s devastating ending?

Wednesday

Today you will be using your story board, the example diary entry and your research to write the missing diary entry from Robert Falcon Scott's journal!

Today you will edit and improve your diary entry against your targets from the Year 6 Writing Criteria we use at school.
